| Business need | Seranai Suite | Zoho |
|---|---|---|
| Sales records and pipeline | Core capability; selected edition limits apply | Available across selected Zoho editions |
| Follow-ups and automation | Assignments, tasks, configured rules | CRM workflows and process automation |
| Tickets and self-service | Tickets, knowledge base, portal | Scope depends on selected Zoho edition |
| Dashboards and analytics | Separate Analytics app; agreed sources | Analytics included in CRM Plus; confirm limits |
| CPQ, inventory and app breadth | Outside the standard Suite scope | Broader Zoho ecosystem strengths |
| Deployment control | Customer-controlled open-source foundation | Selected CRM/Desk SaaS; data exports |
This is a high-level capability comparison. Availability depends on configuration and edition. Shared core capabilities do not establish identical limits, integrations, usability, AI behavior, or support.
Where Seranai is strong
For businesses that need a clear sales pipeline, reliable ticket handling, and useful reporting, Seranai brings these everyday capabilities into one company-priced foundation. We configure the agreed workflows and keep the business knowledge accessible. The agreed company price includes defined workflow development and support allowances; initial implementation is priced separately.
Where Zoho can be a better fit
Zoho can be a stronger fit if you want a wide business-app ecosystem, built-in commercial processes such as CPQ and inventory, or extensive prebuilt analytics connectors. Zoho One and CRM Plus can offer bundle economics that differ materially from the individual-product example.
Why control over your stack matters
Access to your deployment, data, and workflow definitions gives you more choices: adapt the system, change a connection, or plan a move to another operator. Open-source licenses govern the software; your customer-specific records and knowledge remain yours. Control also creates an operating responsibility, which Seranai can take on through an agreed service. SaaS vendors also let customers export data, but exporting records does not transfer their proprietary application.
Representative teams and service scope
Our current first-year model uses 25, 75, and 175 employees, with CRM / Helpdesk / Analytics users of 10 / 13 / 3, 30 / 45 / 19, and 70 / 88 / 35 respectively. App users can overlap. Development, support, and implementation are included in the comparison.

We compare two configurations: CRM Professional at $23/user/month + Desk Professional at $23/agent/month + Analytics Standard with the stated analytics users; and CRM Plus Starter at $20/distinct user/month, billed annually. The table uses the lower candidate for each band: $12,000 / $24,000 / $48,000 for CRM Plus Starter.
CRM Plus Starter includes sales, helpdesk, and analytics, but edition limits differ from standalone Professional apps. Confirm analytics access, row limits, automation, portal, and support requirements before selecting it. Shared-role licenses are counted once: 50 / 100 / 200 distinct users, matching the Seranai scenario.
