| Business need | Seranai Suite | HubSpot |
|---|---|---|
| Sales records and pipeline | Core capability; selected edition limits apply | Core capability; selected edition limits apply |
| Follow-ups and automation | Assignments, tasks, configured rules | Starter basics; deeper workflows require an upgrade |
| Tickets and self-service | Tickets, knowledge base, portal | Starter ticketing; full portal/knowledge base requires an upgrade |
| Dashboards and analytics | Separate Analytics app; agreed sources | Built-in reporting; additional BI scope varies |
| Marketing and customer success | Outside the standard Suite scope | Broader platform strengths |
| Deployment control | Customer-controlled open-source foundation | Proprietary hosted platform; data exports |
This is a high-level capability comparison. Availability depends on configuration and edition. Shared core capabilities do not establish identical limits, integrations, usability, AI behavior, or support.
Where Seranai is strong
For businesses that need a clear sales pipeline, reliable ticket handling, and useful reporting, Seranai brings these everyday capabilities into one company-priced foundation. We configure the agreed workflows and keep the business knowledge accessible. The agreed company price includes defined workflow development and support allowances; initial implementation is priced separately.
Where HubSpot can be a better fit
HubSpot can be a stronger fit when you want a mature marketing-to-sales-to-service platform, extensive marketplace integrations, customer-success tooling, and advanced automation or governance in higher editions. Seranai Suite does not include an equivalent marketing platform.
Why control over your stack matters
Access to your deployment, data, and workflow definitions gives you more choices: adapt the system, change a connection, or plan a move to another operator. Open-source licenses govern the software; your customer-specific records and knowledge remain yours. Control also creates an operating responsibility, which Seranai can take on through an agreed service. SaaS vendors also let customers export data, but exporting records does not transfer their proprietary application.
Representative teams and service scope
Our current first-year model uses 25, 75, and 175 employees, with CRM / Helpdesk / Analytics users of 10 / 13 / 3, 30 / 45 / 19, and 70 / 88 / 35 respectively. App users can overlap. Development, support, and implementation are included in the comparison.

HubSpot’s current Starter bundle offer is $7 per seat/month billed annually, against a displayed $20 reference rate. We model 50 / 100 / 200 distinct paid users, counting a person once in this bundle. The promotion is time-limited and its eligibility, scope, and renewal price must be confirmed.
Starter is a lean option for basic sales and support. It is not equivalent to Professional helpdesk workflows, knowledge base, customer portal, or advanced reporting. If those are required, the earlier Professional configuration remains relevant: $48,600 / $108,000 / $243,000 annually before additional analytics access and onboarding. Independent BI and extra analytics costs are not priced in the Starter figures.
